It looks like Lulu will be expanding into printing comics for artists as they pencil a deal that will allow users of Comic Book Creator to publish their works on paper.
“We are excited about this partnership with Planetwide Media,” said Rob Katz, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Lulu.com. “Now, comic book creators can have their own personalized comic book printed and published using Lulu’s print-on-demand technology.”
“Have you ever dreamed of creating and publishing your own comic book? Stop dreaming and start creating,” said Kevin Donovan, President of Planetwide Media. “We couldn’t be happier with the strategic relationship with Lulu.com for being able to provide our customers-creators with Lulu’s direct digital printing technology. Comic book fans and creators will soon be able to publish their professional-grade comic books through Lulu.com.”
I think this is a great idea, and a great way for comic creators to make a few extra bucks here and there. I am not sure the quality or anything yet, but I am sure once the service goes live, there will be reviews.

2Lulu has been printing some comics for a while now, but it’s awesome to see this addition to the line. The quality of Lulu products are top notch, and I can’t wait to see some of the books produced from this…
