Even though it’s not an official Apple product, the first Apple-hardware tablet PC gained quite a bit of interest at the latest MacWorld although it was overshadowed by the iPhone, like every other announcement in that event.
One of the users who pre-ordered the device recently received an e-mail telling him that the device would ship in June, and would feature better specifications than previously announced. The sensitivity of the screen has been upgraded from 256 levels from 512 (I’m not entirely sure what that means, but I’m certain that some tablet PC aficionado somewhere is jumping with glee).
The other specifications have also been upgraded to correspond to the recent MacBook update, or, in other words, you get slightly faster processors and more RAM by default. And you will now have the option to replace the optical drive for a hard drive with a capacity of 500gb max.
As the editor of the original article said: not too bad for a product that isn’t even released yet!
