If you’re a Playstation 3 owner, then you’ll be happy to hear about some of the issues that have been solved with this latest patch, and some of the features that have been included.
First of all, for all you Playstation 2 owners, you can now finally let your old console rest peacefully, as this latest patch includes upscaling for all Playstation 2 games (well, those that are compatible at least). And DVD video has also been upscaled, so hopefully it will also look nicer on your HD television.
But the best feature is that you can now hook up your Playstation 3 to your Windows computer and synchronize your media files like MP3 or movies (given that the movies are encoded in certain “normal” formats). Although you can’t play Xvid-encoded videos, you can at least synch your camera movies and play your music easilly.
For Mac users, if you use some Windows-emulating software, and run Windows Media Player 11, you should be able to synchronize data also. But I can’t confirm that because I don’t have a Playstation 3, nor a Mac.
