According to a recent finding, made by the PSP-fanboy blog, on the upcoming 3.50 version of the firmware, if you try to use the advanced Remote-Play feature, the console asks you to login with your Playstation Network ID.

This means that the online network is slowly being integrated to the new console, and if things continue to follow this path, the PSP will gain much more functionality, and allow you to seamlessly purchase new titles from the upcoming online store. And since the much-debated release of a redesigned PSP will also come soon enough, possibly at the end of this year, things are looking up for Sony, and for every consumer.

Instead of competing with Nintendo for playability, Sony will be fighting with it’s already installed game library which allowed it to win the console wars for the past generations.
