well things have changed now.. . people care more for usuability, fierfox is really amazing and has something that IE7 doesen’t… a large community of fans that build lots of add-ons that makes it so usuable. why use IE 7 then?

@Jamie – it’s surprising because a few years back no one used to care what program they used to browse. Heck, most users didn’t even know what a browser was.

I am not the least bit surprised. Firefox is successful because of one thing: EASE OF USE. The extensibility of Firefox whips IE7 like a red headed step child. Not to say anything of how much more smoothly Firefox manages RSS content and feeds, and the ability to subscribe to a third party service. When referring to the argument of Firefox OVER IE 7, only one word comes to mind: PWNAGE.

Why does it surprise you that Firefox 2.0 gains share over IE 7? One browser is a fast, secure, innovative and enjoyable way to surf the web, the other is a restrictive piece of resource-intensive garbage.
