Those of you using Linux who have been clamoring for a new version of Skype can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Today Skype released the latest version of it’s software for Linux. It has been more than 9 months since the previous release. Hopefully this will satisfy Linux users, because my guess is that it’ll be another human gestation period before you get another revision.

This new Skype version is so much better on Ubuntu, because it loads faster on my PC.
