TransFormers Animated designs revealed
Wednesday, Jun. 27 2007 | Author: MichaelJust when you thought the Transformers had been as visually screwed up as they could possibly be, Cartoon Network comes along with this piece of shit looking Trans Formers Animated series.
There will be 26 episodes of this shit in 2008. Then it will die…because it looks terrible, and isn’t even going to focus on Autobots vs. Decepticons…instead it’ll be Autobots Vs. HUMANS! They’re “reimagining” the Transformers as Super Heroes, and they’ll be fighting human Super Villains.
I just vomited in my mouth a little.
After seeing the Teaser animation from this at Comi-Con 2007 – I take all of this back. This poster still looks like crap as far as I’m concerned, but this series looks FANTASTIC when you see it in motion.

4That’s the most biased article you’ve ever written Michael, even for you. I don’t disagree with your words thought… this is truly horrendous. It’s even worse than those Beast transformers series (sorry if you liked them, but I found them horrible).

Any why is it that the little Green Army Truck (Ratchet??) is smaller than the Firetruck Optimus Prime, but when in robot form he is TWICE AS LARGE??? And Ungreat, WORD. Prime looks like fucking Corky from Life Goes On.

14Yeah, this is what a lot of people said about Beast Wars and that series was a huge hit. Watch an episode or two, just don’t knock it until you try it. That’s what I will be doing as soon as I find a way to watch it.
I’m not a fan of the art work either but the plot and the idea of more human villians have sparked my interest (no pun intended) and the cast sounds promising. I will let you know how I feel about the series after an ep or more.

15Does Optimus have a frakking goatee? This is going to be the worst thing ever. In fact… this might be Satan in cartoon form. Bumblebee with one stripe!? A motorcycle? I thought the point of the automobile forms was to blend in… I am not sure how anyone will not notice a motorcycle driving through town without a damned driver.
Frak this, and Frak Cartoon Network.
I hate it when these people bastardize everything that is great just so that a bunch of overstimulated suburban brats can “identifiy” better with the giant robots.
I could go on, but I won’t.

piss on this.
but i understand where the makers are coming from. think about it, kids dont know the classics and i don’t think the level of violence would be tolerated by the younger parents of today. I’m no artist but i think it would cost a lot to re master something like the first series to have the same impact today as it had in the 80’s. And when you consider the amount of detail of that remastered work might have, i dont think kids would appreciate it when all they watch are cartoons like teen titans or jda. All these things just makes our idea of a kick ass new series TOO RISKY and therefore it would be more profitable to make it AS SHITTY AS THAT F*CKING PIECE OF SH*T BASTARDIZATION we see in the picture. I really dont know what to make of it or where to put it in the Transformers Universe.
So ill just piss on it again.

Hopefully the Internet can convince them to drop the show before they continue with it, like it did with that lame looney tunes thing.

20it looks like they were going for simplisity with is very crappy in the transformers universe, but then again i said the same thing about samuri jack and that show turned out to be the shit on wheels. so im about 50/50 on the cartoon show. im not against it nor am i for it.

Although the movie DID have a plot, this show should be watched (at least the pilot) before it is deemed garbage.
This may just be Beast Wars all over again.

looks similar to that new starwars cartoon that came out before (looks like the same artist as well)
why dont they just remake the G1 series in CGI, (instead of remastering it) same camera angles and stuff, it would be mad, they could even use the original sound effects/voices to save money (hell id prefer it)

29They should’ve done the generation 2 artwork that was displayed in the transformers comics. I don’t understand why American art is such shit, and japanese cartoons, while some of them look very good, have shitty story lines and voicing. I mean, learn the freakin lesson! I don’t care if your target is for little kids, the artwork has to capture a wide range of people, as well as teh story line. GO back to what worked! I don’t want them fighting like dragon ball z, i don’t want them having kiddie humans, and i certainly don’t want them with bad artwork and dumb voicing acting and bad story lines. Transformers was about total war. Seriously, kids growing up with this stuff will just turn out to be a bunch of fruitcakes.

31Good god… this is the WORST series by far in the Transformers long history, and we’ve already had PLENTY of crap series, only a few actually turned out to be good
man if the new cartoons turn out to be crap like this , then ill just stick with the 80’s cartoon i grew up on, and the comic books, since alot of the new comic series from IDW, and from Dreamwave, (Dreamwave was eventually bought out by IDW a few years ago i beleive) they are the best when it comes to storylines & characther development etc etc etc.
But SCREW TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED!!!! HORRIBLE!!!
