You can visit the viral marketing site, SectorSeven.org and go through all of their crap, or you can just use this direct download and listen to an absolutely terrible modernization of the Transformers theme….complete with Autobot role call, and the words “Ready to die for what we love…”.
See…the trailers almost had me. They almost got me excited…but THIS…DEAR LORD THIS IS TERRIBLE!!! This is worse than the original theme, which was no masterwork. This makes the 80s movie theme seem Oscar worthy.
Remember, when you walk out of the theater, disappointed in this film, this is the music you’re going to be hearing. So get yourself prepared now…

1Is that Linkin Park!? I fucking hate them.
…goddamnit…

2It’s not Linkin Park, but it’s supposed to sound like them. We can’t find any confirmation of exactly who it is just yet.

3I cant say that it’s terrible or that I hate it (except the rap part, I hate rap)… but I don’t think it fits with the movie. this is more of a cartoon theme. I still can’t wait to see it though!

4i am pretty much speechless…i was okay until they started singing….then the rap threw me over the edge…wow…this is just not good.

6I doubt it’s real. I can make a better song in Garageband and I’m not even a musician.

9Holy crap, that’s bad.
It was sounding OK (just about) until the singing, and then it just became pure American mainstream soulless garbage. I could actually feel disappointment hit me, like a giant sucking sensation.
If the music throughout is like that, then it will ruin the film for me, no matter how good the visuals.

10It just goes to show, you should not try to ‘update’ music that’s got cult appeal. They would have avoided the whole issue and been much better off if they’d completely ignored the 80’s theme tune and just done something totally new.

11They obviously tried to emulate the more recent Transformer tv theme.
ITS SOOOO Utterly awful The Band that created it should hang up their hats now. Who in their not so right mind approved this? It just goes to show, despite what a persons professional title may be, or pay, it says nothing about whether theyre actually good at what they do.
SOO many have BS’ed theyre ways into jobs they cant hack.
Amazing People can see the mistakes made by others, and actually do worst.
Give me the 80’s metal theme, Crap Gimme the Smurfs theme over this.

12“but I don’t think it fits with the movie.” Have you SEEN the movie? This is not OUR “Transformers,” folks. And those that have been expecting that it would be and hoping beyond hope that it would be are only setting themselves up for disappointment.
The music was actually not as bad as the comments made it out to be, in my comment. Far be from me to say that I liked it, but I bet it’ll fit the movie pretty decently well.

16..the one from mutemath, sucks ever more…
i think/HOPE the movie producers are STILL seeking for a more decent theme….

17In a way, it sounds like some remix from an army commercial and a Linkin Park song. It probably would have been better to make an entire new song than to attempt to build off the original. It probably works with the movie, considering where they set the release date to be, but the music itself sounds a bit too awkward to me.

18Sorry Guys, its not the like the old 80’s TV version, but its O.K. not good but not that bad

21The best remake of the Transformers theme is done by the Regurgitators for the Transfomers game they made on the PS2 a few years ago.

22I liked the tune but the lyrics were awful…i mean ready to die for what we love? They’re robots for christ sake! Not superheros and what have you. And this song is by Linkin Park and it’s on the movies album so we can all listen to it again when we buy that…i’m personally not gonna buy it but i’m sure someone will
July 7th, 2007 at 16:23
23if you guys saw the movie, you would know that this song is perfect. it should have been in the credits, instead of that weak ass linkin park shit
