In a recent move, which should certainly help popularize iTunes and the iPod a bit more in Japan Bandai has decided to start distributing some Anime-related videos, which make “sense” to carry in your iPod, if you’re an Anime fan. Instead of distributing whole episodes or movies, they’ve decided to promote Anime Intros/Endings, and Anime Music Videos and, of course Anime Music.

Although you could already acquire Anime Music, as long as you knew the name of the single, I think that this is a great initiative on their behalf. I know some people skip a lot of the Intros, but in my case, for example, I love watching them over and over again.
Right now this service is only available in Japan, but if it’s as successful as I hope it will be, since the representative is Bandai, we could very well start seeing the same thing in America or Europe.
