Europe, that has witnessed and suffered from countless wars and battles, is now witnessing another one. This one isn’t being thought with swords or guns, it’s being fought online, for the Internet browser share.

In some countries, like Finland and Slovenia Firefox’s browser share is already on-par with Internet Explorer’s and in many other countries (Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Ireland) it’s now nearing a 40% share.

From July 2nd to the 9th, Firefox had a 27.8% share, which is 3.7% more than it had in March. With Firefox 3 nearing it’s final stages, and no signs of an Internet Explorer, it may start becoming the main browser on many Windows machines by the end of the year.
