After 4 years of development, the “Quattro” project (not to be mistaken by the Wilkinson shaver) is finally finished and shipping to all of Microsoft’s OEM partners, which have grown by 2 this time around.
Besides Gateway, HP, Lacie and Medion, Fujitsu-Siemens and Iomega are joining the OEM team, which is great for Microsoft really, and might help to increase their share in the Server OS market.
The team is very thankful for all the help they received from over 100 thousand participants and hopefully this new release will be just as good, if not better than the previous ones. If you intend on purchasing the Operating System separately, it will be hitting the shelves a couple of months from now, followed by the OEM products which will be released this fall.
