I’m proud to say that I bought a PSP on launch day, and have been, for the most part, pretty happy with it. Sure, it feels like a brick in your pocket, but I’ve been pretty impressed the video quality of the (albeit over-priced) movies, and the quality of the (albeit few) games.
It was announced at E3 yesterday that an updated line of PSP’s will be available this September. The new design boasts a unit that is 19% slimmer and 33% lighter. In addition to the previously available Piano Black color, Sony will debut two new color schemes for the PSP. Expect to see a new Ice Silver design, which is a part of a new entertainment pack, containing a pack-in of the video game Daxter and the UMD video Family Guy: The Freakin’ Sweet collection. Also on the books…a white PSP with an image of Darth Vader on the back, which comes bundled with the forthcoming title Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron.
It’s a shame that I already own one, or I’d be all over that Vader PSP…oh, who am I kidding, where do I sign up?
