After the announcement of what is to become the next successor the in Sony Ericsson Cybershot line of camera cellphones, Samsung has decided to release the SGH-G800, a product that feels and looks very similar to the previous Cybershot phones. Make no mistake, this is a direct “offense”, and Samsung wants “war” in this market.

Although I can’t confirm this, what seems to be the distinguishing feature between this cellphone and the K850 is that this one has a 3x Optical Zoom, while the other cellphone only appears to have Digital Zoom, although, at the time of writing I can not confirm it.
The rest of the features as expected: Bluetooh, QVGA resolution (320×240 pixels), Micro SD slot and 3G. My money is still on the Sony Ericsson because of their compatibility with most Bluetooth peripherals and Operating Systems, but, if priced correctly, this could become a serious competitor.
