What the world needs now are more stereos with tubes on them. Thankfully, the folks at Shanling are helping to fulfill that need by releasing the MC-3 CD player / dock. The device looks like it belongs on that diamond shaped bookshelf that Captain Kirk had in his quarters in Wrath of Khan…placing it firmly in the 80s in regards to style.

The blue lights, the cold, steel looks…grab a pink t-shirt, and roll up those sport coat sleeves brother, because it’s the 80s all over again! Now, you’d think a novelty looking item like this would be reasonably priced right?

This sucker will set you back a totally slammin’ $1000.
