The same problems that afflicted carriers in the US, are also affecting the European ones, but it looks like that might be coming to an end soon enough.
Steve Jobs has been recently spotted in Regent Street visiting the Apple store there, and given the recent rumors about the carrier O2 being the one to grab the iPhone, it might be true that he’s visiting the UK to close the deal with them.
As a European user, I hoped that a “universal” carrier to all European countries would be chosen, like Vodafone. Not that I am one of their customers, but a deal like that would make the iPhone’s release easier and faster, rather than Apple going through each carrier for each country individually.

1why must the bleeding phone be carrier-specific?? can’t it just hook on to any network that u’re ALREADY subscribed to???
it’s never gonna be a perfect world, is it?
