One of the things that worried me a bit was the battery consumption of the Core 2 Duo processors compared to the previous Ultra Low Voltage line. Most laptops I saw had a battery life of up to 7 hours, at most, but thankfully, this latest laptop by Toshiba, the SS RX1, has an estimated battery life of 11 hours.

As if that weren’t good enough, the latest model will also come equipped with a 64GB SSD (flash memory) hard drive. Although it’s not that much for today’s standards, from a performance, and battery life, point of view, it’s the best offer you can get.

Although the price for the model with the SSD drive isn’t available yet, the one with a “normal” hard drive costs starts at $2200, and the model with top specifications, and with an Office license included, costs $2700. The price for the SSD model should fall closer to the second one.
