To me the price drops are great for both systems, and I think the PS3 is finally in a competitive place, even with this price drop from Microsoft. If I was making the choice now, I might consider the PS3 at $499 because of the Blu-Ray playback....which I wasn't interested in at the higher price point. For me, the 360's price is not the deal-breaker. It's how many problems one might have with it. Out of the four people I know that have 360's, 3 of them have had problems with it.
