Did you just buy an Xbox 360 Elite because of that nifty little HDMI port? I’m sorry.
Microsoft announced today that the Xbox 360 Premium system, now priced at $350 after the price drop earlier this week, will soon sport HDMI out.
“Yes, we are offering an HDMI port for Xbox 360 simply as another choice in Xbox 360 owners’ games and entertainment experience. Retailers are gradually introducing HDMI-enabled Xbox 360s into the channel to meet demand.”
I’m not a big fan of this move on Microsoft’s part. I know that a lot of those who bought Elites paid $100 more specifically for the HDMI. There are already some negative rumblings from the gaming community…I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it come to a full roar before it’s all said and done.

3Will they still have the facility to connect via VGA (with cable)?
The 360’s ability to connect to a PC monitor was a major factor in my purchase as a big HDTV was to expensive.
