Gizmodo recently got hold of a picture that showcases the upcoming Zune 2 and Zune “Flash” players. Obviously this isn’t official, but it looks realistic enough to deserve an article of it’s own.

If this turns out to be the real deal, then there will be a flash-based 80GB model, and 3 flash-based models with 2, 4 and 8GB of capacity. I’m not a big fan of the Zune, but even so, these players still look a bit better than the “Fat Nano” picture that’s going around the internet.

I hated the original Zune design, but this is even worse. This doesn’t look any different than any other mp3 player on the market.
And the pink makes me throw up in my mouth a little…

3The part that I find the most amusing is that Apple is going to announce a touchscreen version of the iPod on the 5th – and these Zunes will be coming out later – so whatever improvements these may have – they’re still behind the iPod.
Microsoft should really give this whole music player thing up.
