A mysterious image popped up today in Motorola’s image gallery featuring 6 handsets that haven’t been released or announced yet. From the resolution of the screens, and since the two first one have a black and white display (they still make those?) we can only assume that these are all cheap cellphones.

In terms of the design, my favorite one is actually the very first one (which is used on a few other devices). For a low-budget handset, I think that Motorola designed a very attractive product.

1I believe the black & white displays are e-paper. This massively extends battery life as a current is only drawn as the screen is updated, instead of a constant drain as with a regular phone, so far I believe Motorola are the only phone company to have used this technology? I quite like Motorola’s hardware, it’s just a shame the software on their phones is always so god damn *awful*.
