Multiple news sites are reporting that Apple will announce the new iPod line on September 5th, although the event has been confirmed yet.
Our sources are slim on details for exactly what will be announced, but said that at least one of the things that will come out of September 5th will be a new iPod.
According to some sources from the far east, most of the iPods will be widescreen (anyone surprised) and some of them will still include the clickwheel. Another thing that was also expected, is that most of them will use flash memory. Although there might be a HDD iPod, most of them won’t have any spinning disks inside.
One thing I’m looking forward to is Coverflow on the new iPods. But other than that, as long as they don’t increase their sizes, I don’t think they can go wrong. And although my 1st gen Nano is working perfectly, even I might not resist purchasing these new models if they are as great as Jobs promised.
