Although Skype’s current applications are severely limited, due to the constraints that a web browser has, a lot of companies that provide services or products for mobile devices have shifted their focuses to Apple’s successful first-entry into the already-crowded cellphone industry.
Skype for iPhone is one of the latest applications to reach the iPhone in the form of a web-application, and it doesn’t even require Wifi. Although there are obvious limitations with a program of this kind, at least now you can send and receive text messages seamlessly, even when you’re far from the computer.
