@goldcoaster

The resolution of the original film that the show was recorded on has a higher resolution than even HD. The production company behind this has fully restored the film, plus, since it's the original film, they can adjust the framing to make it widescreen without doing any stretching or warping of the picture.

The special effects have all been redone, shot for shot, in HD.

So it looks AMAZING. It looks like a show that was shot this year, instead of a show that was shot in the 70s.

If you have an Xbox360 you can actually download the in HD to see what it will look like - or if you don't have one of those, you can download DVD quality versions of episodes from iTunes to get an idea of what it will look like.

Nice, but TOS was never even close to HD or widescreen was it, so how good could HD actually make this?

cheers for Australia
