It looked like someone had poured a bit of white into it. Just a small part of the entire bottom was white and curved upwards on both sides...like a 'U'...only the upwards part of the white only went up about a fourth of the way. I cannot find any pics of a moon-phase that looks like what I saw. Has anyone else seen the moon like this, or am I the only one? Thanks....I wish I would have had a camera with me, so I could show you what I saw.
