If you read my previous article about the new G2 Sony Vaio, you’ll notice that I mentioned that that laptop aims to compete with “corporate” Panasonic laptops, and this new series 7 is precisely what they’re competing agains. Thanks to Akihabaranews, we get a first look at what they look like, although we still don’t know what’s “inside the box”.

Obviously it’s no “Macbook”, but it certainly looks sturdy enough to keep itself together from a few falls. And I have to admit that the CD rom tray, which is placed on the bottom-right part of the keyboard is very ingenuous, although it’s prone to scratch your disks when you place them in the drive, or remove them.
