Sony has unveiled the high end (at least, I think it’s the high end) of their “S” series of Blu-Ray players. This one features HDMI 1.3, 1080p/60 and 24p output , x.v.Color, 7.1-channel Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD1, seperate audio / video boards to keep interference to a minimum and a “rigid drive bracket” to minimize vibrations.
You can get your hands on this thing for $1,300. Although, seriously, I don’t understand why anyone would drop $1,300 on any kind of player in the middle of a format war.

1I agree on the price at this time. I recommend a PS3 instead at this time for Blu-Ray.
