Ah… Windows Portable Media Centers, one of big M’s projects that has never really “taken off”, despite having found a small niche that is big enough to justify it’s existence. Although you won’t find as many of them on the shelves as you used to a couple of years back, you’ll probably be able to find this player on them in a month or two from now.

Toshiba has made it clear that they don’t want to compete with other players in terms of style, but they focused on giving this player an H2C decoder which will provider better sound quality, a big screen that can play WMV movies, and the affordable price of $120 for the 4gb model.
With the new Nano priced just $30 more, will this player have enough appeal to make consumers support it rather than Apple’s popular flash-based player?
