Toshiba has unveiled a new keyboard that is supposed to be designed for gamers. I’m not sure how many gamers are going to be interested in it, though. I suppose if you’re a FPS fan this might appeal to you, but WOW players aren’t going to be using it because you can’t type a message to your friends on it.
So, MMO players are out. RTS players might like it…I don’t know. I can’t see anyone buying this thing.

3I can’t see the keys properly to know what this can and can’t do, but I seriously think this is a pointless release.
The whole idea of using a keyboard (well) is to learn where the keys are by muscle memory, so you don’t even have to look at the thing. You learn this as part of touch typing.
Why go and change that on people? I don’t see this succeeding.

4Actually, this looks almost exactly like the Wolf King FPS keypad I have at home (except for the vibrant red casing :-)). Puts a whole ton of keys within reach of your fingers, but for actual typing? I’d never even consider it. But yeah, makes the ol’ WASD configuration work even better than on a standard keyboard.
