I don’t know about you, but for me, having a 24-inch LCD monitor is still a luxury that I can’t afford. So when Acer comes out with the P243W LCD monitor at $457, it brings a smile to my face because it isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be.

The new Acer monitor has a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a 1920×1200 native resolution. Additionally, the brightness level is 400 nits and there are three different output connections available: DVI-D, D-sub, and HDMI.
Sadly it seems like Acer is having productivity problems because there will only be a thousand of P243W’s for sale. But don’t worry because they have plans to add smaller (19 and 20-inch) LCD monitors on the near future.
