In a good move made by Viacom, all the Daily Show episodes are online at their official website – www.thedailyshow.com. From 1999 to today, you can now view 7,128 short clips (not entire episode) of the comic show. Fortunately, the content is updated daily, so the 7k number will rise.
Obviously, there is some kind of advertisement on the videos, more specifically a 7 second promo about Hyunday on the beginning of each clip, and another fun fact is that when the video is paused, another Hyunday advertisement pops up – a small image with a car and text saying “Hyunday – Think about it”. It is original to say the least, and doesn’t bother the users.
On another related point, Viacom and Comedy Central put all the Daily Show videos online, after suing YouTube. See any relation?
