Yesterday Microsoft officially unveiled the next version of the the Zune. It’s a little slimmer, and a little better looking. It will now sync with your PC via wi-fi, and the “three days” part of the squirting of songs to one another has been removed…but 3 plays is still there. You’ll be able to send video over wi-fi as well.
There is video now in the Zune Marketplace, and even the original Zune is going to be getting a software update to add some of the new features of the new Zune. It also now features a touch sensitive pad that is very much like the iPod clickwheel.
Pricing is basically the same as the iPod line. There is no wi-fi store for the Zune – but they’re working on it.
Pick one up if you like…then start squirting your friends…if you can find another one willing to buy it.
