You know you really have to upgrade your computer’s monitor when a cellphone screen has a better contrast ratio than it. And apparently that’s the message that Sharp is giving out with this latest QVGA resolution LCD.

This LCD is 2.2″ which is slightly bigger than the new iPod Nano’s screen, which means that it’s actually quite small, despite having an impressive number of DPI. Sharp will soon release a new line of cellphones that use this screen, and Europe will probably receive a few of them sans the TV tuner later on, but it’s safe to say that these screens won’t be common for at least a year.
