Cerulean Studios, the makers of Trillian, decided to drop a “bomb” all of a sudden and announced that their upcoming version 4 of Trillian, codenamed Astra, will also be heading to the increasingly popular Mac OS X.

Right now the first build is very minimal in terms of interface (as it should be on a Mac), but the team promises that all of the features on the Windows version are there, they just have been added to the interface.

Personally, I think it would be just great if the team maintained the aspect as it is, rather than adding a dozen more buttons like on the Windows version. And since they named this first build “think different”, I think they should think differently on their approach to the user interface, since they’re trying to win over the Mac crowd and all…
