Although the new iPod’s interface isn’t their biggest selling point, a lot of 5th gen iPod owners were upset about not being able to update their firmware to use the new user interface filled with the Ken Burns effect on the right side of the screen.
Thankfully, a team of programmers took the matter in their own hands and released a custom firmware that tries to mimic the iPod Classic’s interface (except for the Coverflow).
Obviously, this custom firmware isn’t supported by Apple, so if Apple happens to update the 5th gen’s firmware, and you’re using this custom one, weird things might happen. So remember that before you decide to sue them.
