Crysis is one of the most anticipated games of the year. So anticipated in fact that Crytek, its developer, released the Crysis demo a few weeks ago to much fanfare.
But it looks like Crytek may have made a virtual boo-boo.
There are reports that the Crysis demo can be hacked to unlock a whole lot of new content that is inaccessible in the demo. This includes vehicles and guns. These can be unlocked by making a few tweaks that can be downloaded from the RPS link.
There are no firm evidence to suggest that this was a mistake on Crytek’s part or if it was just the discovery of one lucky hacker. Either way, I’ll have to pin some of the responsibility on Crytek for not using a cleaner demo.
For those who do not want to spoil the fun in playing the full version of the game, the common suggestion is not to perform the hack, so unlock at your own risk!

1Looks like a good game but you are going to want to get Windows Vista to have access to DirectX 10.
