Mention the word Link and console gaming fans will immediately know that you are referring to the iconic Nitnendo character that has graced many of the greatest adventure games ever put into pixels. Over the decades Link has undergone an evolution that reflects how gaming as a phenomenon affected the way people see video games. The classic Zelda games are some of the most favorite games ever created and Link has become not just a lovable in-game character or mascot, he has evolved into a cultural icon.
With Link’s Crossbow Training set to hit stores this month, IGN has decided to come out with a great article on Link’s evolution. The article delves into Link’s earliest incarnations to the latest look of our favorite character. Check it out by clicking here.

1Maybe it’s because I played all of those original games and loved them, that the fact that this article only focuses on his appearence, makes the entire thing pretty stupid.
Link wasn’t barely visible in any of the games, he was a perfect size for the platform…back in the day when the story mattered more then the graphics.
