I used to collect Marvel Legends toys. I loved the way their initial lines were sculpted. Take for example the Thor figure that really captures the wrath and godly demeanor of the Norse god of war. unfortunately, the line has continually declined in quality through the years. From the great articulation around the torso, the latter lines only sported a hinge-like articulation that looks awkward and pulls the over-all look of the figure.
The Marvel Legends line eventually passed on to Hasbro and there was great trepidation among the toy collecting community about the move because Hasbro has been hit and miss with action figures. The initial lines showed a little promise but the initial misgivings remained. But having seen some of the new incoming figures for 2008, my hopes have increased.
The Spiral figure, one of the lead figures for the 2008 line, is well sculpted and the detailing is a very big improvement over previous figures. I sure hope this won’t be a chase figure given that Spiral is not a very popular character although she kicks major ass in the X-Men comics!

1i think one of the problems with spiral is that she more often then not show up in company with one of the most revolting characters marvel has ever produced, mojo of the mojoworld. reading about the new mutants going head to head with “him” was ever so traumatic for a kid my age at the time…
and his tendency towards forcing peoples faces into a grin thats only rivaled by dc comics joker, by technical means no less…
ugh, i need to wash my brain in acids…
