I had a little surprise treat during the Christmas weekend. One of the other remaining torrent site that I go to for music had a free leech “gift” to all of the members and I was able to get some really cool stuff off the site for almost ten days. I downloaded like crazy because it’s hard to maintain your ratio in this site. Some of the albums that I got kicked ass in a major way.
But the “promo” also drove home the fact that Oink is gone. The site used to have the same policy before with its free leech during the holiday season. It was quite fun because you have a wider range of choices to download there. It’s just not the same without Oink. I’ve been hearing good things about What.CD? and Waffles, but, as you guys know, I still don’t have access to those sites. I’m still waiting for invites to come but, unfortunately, the torrent Santa didn’t leave me anything on my christmas stocking this year.

2ugh. yeah. i’m just another ex-oinker, who laid low for a while, but now really wants “back in” to waffles or whatever (what.cd or something).
i read somewhere that if you can prove you were a member, you can get in… but I don’t know how to do that… who to talk to, etc. irc is a sure-fire way to get irritated, as you just sound like another a#$hole beggar.
any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was actually reading the NFO’s from a bunch of torrents i had created and upload at oink.. with my personal review, and notes about each album, etc. It really brought me back to the feeling. God I miss that place.
