If there’s one movie that has the geeks all excited, it’s the Star Trek re-boot being helmed by JJ Abrams. Not a lot of info is being given to the media in terms of the story but, thankfully, the cast has been announced. Chris Pine will play Kirk, with Heroes’ Zachary Quinto getting the role of Spock. The coolness factor of the casting has been ramped up especially with Karl Urban and Simon Pegg also signing on to the movie. Eric Bana is also in the cast as a new Romulan villain.
For those who need to sate their Trek addiction, the teaser trailer for the movie has already been released on the net.
I never really enjoyed the Star Trek movies except for the one with the Borg. In fact, I think a lot of sci-fi stuff doesn’t live up to its’ full potential. In this case however, after seeing a few pictures, I think they might finally have this right, in the way that they got Lord of the Rings so right…
they have the potential to get this right ,but in the end it will either soar like lotr or fall plumiting to earth like eragon or tgc
