Here in Canada, we don’t get the latest in cell phone technology. While most of the rest of the world is enjoying the iPhone, Canada shows no sign of having the Apple product here any time soon, and so imagine my surprise when I saw HTC looking at creating a multi-directional slider cell phone. Sliders haven’t really even caught on here with only a few HTC models doing well. RIM’s Blackberry products are really entrenched here when it comes to QWERTY interfaces on a cell phone.

The HTC 730 looks really interesting because it allows you to use the device like a traditional slider phone, while also allowing you to convert it into a mobile information input device with a full QWERTY keyboard. Very interesting.
Found thanks to Gadgetell.
