I've just recently started reading your stuff and I wanted to say that the Wii is not the system for me either. For me, I'm waiting for the PS3 package that's supposedly being released in June. I enjoy the Wii, but the controls are too gimmicky for me. I bought the GameCube version of Twilight Princess and enjoyed it better than the WiiChuk system. As for Brawl, I love the game. Yes, it is more of the same, but great nonetheless. (And for the love of God, use a GameCube or Classic controller. Wiimote and WiiChuk sucks.)

I'm mostly posting for Okami. I bought the game for my PS2 and absolutely loved it. The Wii version should be very interesting for the paint-brush aspect. Also, I saw a screenshot in a mag recently and the colors look more vibrant, which is cool. My biggest complaint is that Okami deserves HD and the Wii just isn't, it's only a little better than standard.

Sorry for the long comment, but I believe that Okami did not get the publicity it deserved. It is interactive art to me and one of the most brilliant games I've played.

Wow, this sure got a lot of feedback.

Nate, I think the problem with the Wii isn't as applicable to you - you have a decent PC after all.

Mando, thanks for the feedback. I'm in complete agreement with you. Interestingly, I was at a trade show recently. One company actually used Wii Sports to attract people to their stand, showing how right you are with what you've said...

Given the types of games the Wii currently has it's amazing that they've announced to bring Dexter to the Wii first http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=50221
Now if there was ever a storyline not safe for family-environment then it's this one: a serialkiller serialkiller. The things you could do with the remote....

You hit the nail on the head. We've had our Wii almost since release now... and it sees little play. It is still 90% potential, 10% realization. IMO, devs are still writing games the traditional way and incorporating the Wiimote when it's convenient. There hasn't been a game utilizing the platform more inspiring than Wii Sports... that's still the party game for everybody.

I'm licking my chops for Star Wars: TFU, but I am still SHOCKED there wasn't a Jedi FPS game on launch. Zelda... blah... Metroid... blah... they're both okay games. But Zelda is the same as Zelda 5 years ago, and Metroid is about Halo 2 in gameplay (but nowhere near as good in story).

Still waiting... and playing the Orange Box on PC until SW: TFU comes out...

For me, the Xbox360 doesn't offer much that is unique. I can play graphic intensive first person shooters on my PC. I also hate playing FPS games without a mouse. The Wii offers the types of games not available on PC (Mario, Zelda, and all that stuff).

It's not that I wouldn't want an Xbox360. I could only afford to buy one system, and I already had a PC.
