I hope I still have your attention after the Tetris vinyl wallpaper article. Yes, I still have yet another Tetris treat. I promise it will be the last. I just couldn’t help looking at the Meiji Chocolate Bar (now marketed as a cute tetris brick-puzzle, by Strapya-world.com). For Meiji fans your guess is right, it comes in 3 variants (white, mild bitter and non-sugar chocolate bricks). Case size: approx. L9.5 x W16.5cm / 3.74 x 6.49in.
This retails for $7 each but before you head-off to www.strapya-world.com because your sweet tooth just couldn’t take the tease…
IT’S NOT EDIBLE!
Yup, it’s a TOY wrapped in Meiji/Tetris design. It’s actually A GAME! But unlike the standard Tetris where the object is to Tetris-down, this game is the opposite. The object is to Tetris UP!
It’s the anti-Tetris really because you’ve got similar-looking pieces that must be positioned manually (instead of flipping them frantically into place as they fall from the sky at accelerating speeds) and the more open space you have, the less “done” the game is (as opposed to trying not to let the rows of blocks build up too high). Additionally, if you’ve managed to figure out all 2,339 ways to solve the puzzle, you get to”level up” by buying another chocolate bar: white chocolate = easy, milk chocolate = beginner, black (dark?) chocolate = advanced.
Grab yours from Strapaya World for about $7.
I still think the “tease” is more exciting don’t you think? Stick this in the freezer and see everyone scream “Owowowowow!”. Ha! Ha!
