A couple of weeks ago, pictures of a Playstation 3 in a nifty gunmetal gray color appeared on the net. Initial speculation is that this is going to be one of those rare exclusives that Sony releases from time to time. Unfortunately for people who do not live in Japan, it is hard to get hold of these exclusives because they are almost always for the Japanese domestic market only. The only way we can get these things is by either ordering it in one of the Japanese online sites that charge an arm, a limb and a kidney for the privilege, or going to Japan itself to track it down.
But Santa looks like he’s arriving early this year because of the announcement that the gunmetal gray PS3 will also be released in the US market. It is actually going to be part of a highly limited number of “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots Limited Edition Playstation 3 Bundle” — those are one heck of a lot of words for a package.
Exact numbers for this baby have not been released. This is a great purchase for those who still don’t have a PS3. I’d love to get my hands on one if not for the fact that this is going to be so hard to find when it gets released in the market.

2I understand how business works but it’s still a shame that you don’t see more of these special editions. All the damn ebay hunters will grab them up no doubt and shift them for double the price.
