Fighting game fans will definitely want to get the Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe game that will be released during the latter half of the year. The ability to pit your fave Mortal Kombat characters against various DC Universe superheroes is well worth the price of admission. I’ll definitely grab this game when it comes out.

According to publisher Midway two fighting “mechanics” that will be included in this iteration of Mortal Kombat. The first one, called Freefall Kombat, will fully exploit the multi-level environments in the game. They can even continue fighting as they fall. Klose Kombat, on the other hand, will have a very tight camera angle so that you get to see the characters bruises, their torn clothes, an even the characters’ jaws  as it takes a powerful punch, among many other bloody details.

The only possible downer here is the fact that there won’t be fatalities because these actions go against the very nature of the DC Universe characters. That means no video of Superman pulling out someone’s spine through his nose, fanboys.
