Despite being impressed by the capabilities of this brand new handheld, which we already featured yesterday, I can’t help feeling awkward about a weird bluetooth addon which was announced today: a phone?

Like most USB cellphones of this kind, it will allow you to use Skype and make phonecalls as you normally would, rather than by using Vista’s menus (I wonder how weird that will feel?).
I hope that this device is an extra and not a necessity. It would be rather completely silly having to carry an extra phone to make calls with your cellphone.
If you want to see this device in action you can find a hands-on video of the device here.
