Doesn't work in Dos, can't use arrow keys for bootup selections, software uses a fair amt of ram. The plastic is far softer than older Microsoft keyboards, my fingers have rubbed right through the plastic and painted letter on several keys in under two years

I just bought this keyboard last night for $30.00 from Micro Center. I agree with the comments about the Spacebar. It is easily the loudest and most clanky key. I am actually very annoyed by it. If you hit the spacebar in the upper corners, it is actually twisting the key, causing it to feel stiff because the key is not going straight down. I do not believe the spacebar was engineered mechanically very well. I am still deciding if I can live with it or if I need to bring this keyboard back.

For an update, yeah I think it's the noise. I have found however if you strike the space bar at the very top the movement is a little stiff for my taste. That, however, is probably better than it falling to pieces after a week...

I'm using one of these keyboards at work and at home and couldn't be happier. I, too, was a bit annoyed by the loud space bar at first, but I've gotten used to it by now. Whereas my previous, non-natural keyboard left my hands and wrists hurting, these new ones have pretty much eradicated the problem. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I forgot to mention, bringing up Mr. Butterscotch's comment, the USB adapters from other MS keyboards won't let it connect via PS/2 either. I've tried. I would have managed without the extra keys if so, but I couldn't get it to work.

I've been loving Microsoft keyboards since the Natural came out. Other split keyboards just don't make it. My old MS Internet Pro Natural keyboard finally hit the bit bucket (certain keys started to just not work) and Microsoft finally came out with this at the right time (no more split keyboards that I'd been able to find at that time) I've also been hating the new cursor key cluster reshuffle, where the Ins, Home, PgUp, Del, End and PgDn keys are two across and three down, instead of the old three across and two down. This (4000) keyboard keeps it "old sk00l".

It would have been nice to put a couple of USB connectors like they did in the Natural. IIRC, the Natural wasn't even USB driven, they had a second connector for the USB. I can't even remember if you could just use the USB to connect. I needed the PS/2 connector to be able to get into the BIOS if I had to, and for the occasional DOS work. Yeah, that was awhile back...

But I really like this keyboard. The position is right for doing a lot of typing, I've got enough extra function keys for my tastes, and more importantly, I haven't had a key go dead on me yet, although I think it's not old enough to start showing it like the other Microsoft keyboards. I found somebody selling them for $25 at a local computer show, and bought one just to throw in the closet when this one does become toast.

My problem with the space bar isn't the movement (I'm probably a little violent on hitting the space bar anyways, so I don't notice the movement), I just wish it were a bit more quiet. The keyboard noise from it is easily twice as loud as the other keys. But I hit it hard so that may be why it's loud.
