Here’s a geeky way to dry clothes! Fit for geeks who lives in small apartments who may not have the luxury of having a washer/dryer set for their laundry. Yes, today’s geek do change clothes, unlike the movie-style geeks who would spend their days in the basement… today’s geeks are a little fab! :)
Ok, the Somela Fast Dehydrator (offered here) by a Japanese company may be the solution. It’s so small you can keep it in a cabinet and totally forget you have it! Here’s the idea… 2.1kg of dry laundry becomes 3.7kg of wet (but clean) laundry after it goes thru the wash. The Somela Dehydrator steps in to work to take out the water from the clothes, kinda works like a regular dehydrator for fruits and vegies (in principle). The only drag would be that because this drier is “ultra-small”, you need to feed clothes in one or two at a time. Bummer I know, but great concept nonetheless!
Oh, another drag… it looks like “fab trash can”, one that you can find in every mall. :)
Sold for $173 bucks right here. Initially available in Japan.

1I’m in the UK and I desperately need one of these. Either that or a new prop for my washing line…
