Summer is almost officially here and a lot of enterprising minds have taken a crack at how to build gadgets that may actually have wild appeal to those who’d be heading the beach.  While the picture above isn’t something to crave for, with a dab of silver or black, this may well be a great cash cow in the horizon.  Right now it looks like a Barbie bed, but soon enough… you can get really cool tones (hopefully) before the summer ends.

I mean sure you can just use earphones and get awesome tunes, but hey, you don’t want to zone our ambient noise at the beach too… specially if you have your kids with you.  You want the sound, but you want “their” sound in the BG to monitor their whereabouts or their “bouts” with each other too.

It’s available at www.skymall.com for $40.  A little “steep” for just radio though.  Yes, not even a possiblity to hook it up with an iPod or an MP3 player, but soon, who knows!
