For those of you who had the pleasure of playing probably the greatest graphical masterpiece in a long time (on the PC by the way), you’ll be excited by the image of Crysis Warhead. In answer to the question, I have no idea what it is. Could it be a sequel to the award winning Crysis, released back in November 2007? The guy (whoever he may be) is clearly wearing a nanosuit – so it’s fair to say that they will remain in the game.
I’m not sure about you, but I’d like to see a standalone to bridge between Crysis 1 and 2. This could perhaps be set against more humanoid opponents (unfortunately, much like Half Life, I found the weird enemies annoying rather than cool), with the objective maybe to stop terrorist forces. They could always put an aliens style slant on that.
Either way, I’ve no doubt that Crytek will once again make an outstanding game with some of the most breathtaking vistas and scenarios seen yet in a PC game. As they tend to showcase what will eventually be available for the consoles it will be safe to say that something very impressive indeed will be coming soon to the Xbox 360 and PS3 – provided Crytek believes they have the power.

1As a followup – all has been explained. This is a game told from the eyes of Psycho, rather than Nomad (the hero of Crysis). You’ll be on the other side of the island whilst the weird alien events unfold. The engine has been updated so things should look even better.
