Shia LaBeouf is getting all of the, uh, beefy roles in Hollywood. Tinseltown’s IT boy is now being considered to play the role of Yorick Brown, the main protagonist in the cool Vertigo comic Y: The Last Man.
No less than DJ Caruso, the director attached to the project, wants LaBeouf to star in Y. Caruso has already worked with LaBeouf in Disturbia and the upcoming Eagle Eye. The script is said to be ready for submission in a week or two.
For those you who do not read comics (the horror!), Y: The Last Man tells the story of a world where every single mammal with the Y chromosome mysteriously dies. The only ones who survived is Yorick and his pet monkey, Ampersand.
